‘Wet n wild’ day 6 on #letour

Wet n Wild certainly summed up today’s stage. Rain for two hours right from the start meant full wet gear to keep the legs warm for the 196km ahead from Abberville to Le Havre. The rain then was intermittent and the wind picked up.

The three Cat4 climbs didn’t pose too much of a challenge, but the wind however, that’s another story. With the exposed coastal roads, and it being head and side wind it caused us issues and challenged us in making good progress.

The majority of the day the pace was set by a handful of us stronger riders. These are transitional stages in the tour yet we certainly all agree are part of the ongoing wearing down process!

Happy to finish the day in dry conditions.

Another 190 km rolling day tomorrow, hoping the sun comes out, miss that warmth from the first few days.
